April 2022 Trainees Meeting

With Covid related travel restrictions now lifted, the April 2022 Trainees Meeting will be held in Brisbane, immediately prior to the RACS ASC. It will run Saturday, April 30, Sunday, May 1 and Monday, May 2, 2022. This is the first in person meeting since 2019. Trainees are encouraged to attend the RACS ASC.

The sections of the syllabus to be covered in April 2022 are the Aorta and Congenital Cardiac Surgery. The format will involve lectures from specialists, an aortic wetlab, 3D printed models and trial vivas.

The Dr Robert Xu Prize will be awarded to the best performing early years trainee at the meeting.

The Abbott educational grant will be awarded to the best performing senior years trainee at the meeting.
