April 2023 Trainees Meeting

The April 2023 Trainees Meeting will be held in Adelaide, immediately prior to the RACS ASC. Trial written exams are offered on the Friday for trainees sitting the Fellowship Exam in 2023 or 2024. These are held at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The meeting will run Saturday, April 29, Sunday, April 30 and Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Trainees are encouraged to attend the RACS ASC.

The sections of the syllabus to be covered in April 2023 are the Mitral Valve, Pericardial disease, Cardiac tumours and Heart Transplantation. The format will involve lectures from specialists, an mitral wetlab and trial vivas.

The Dr Robert Xu Prize will be awarded to the best performing early years trainee at the meeting.

The Abbott educational grant will be awarded to the best performing senior years trainee at the meeting.
